World Poker Tour to take place in London
London based poker fans will be holding their breaths as September approaches in anticipation of some of the all time highlights of the gaming calendar. This September 2010 will see seventy live major poker events come to the big city including the World Poker Tour London (WPT), European Poker Tour London (EPT) and the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE).
An exciting line up will see the arrival of the very first WPT in London on 28th August. Scheduled to take place at the Palm Beach Casino in London’s luxurious Mayfair, the event will kick of on 5th September with a buy-in currently standing at a sum of £5,300. With a cap of 400 runners, this promises to be a truly riveting occasion. The event will be closely followed the English Poker Open 2010 held between 11th and 14th September at the same venue. Meanwhile, London’s Leicester Square will also be playing host to the WSOPE. This spectacular occasion will take place at The Empire and looks set to generate enormous interest and excitement amongst fans anxious to watch some poker legends in the making.
The return of Poker in the Park on 2nd and 3rd September will also grace Leicester Square and promises a selection of free tournaments and strategic advice from the professionals. The month will finish off with the arrival of the EPT London which will run between 29th September and 4th October at the Hilton. With a buy-in of £5,250 and a cap of 1000 runners, September certainly promises to be a very exciting month indeed at one of Europe’s most inspiring capital cities.
