Girls Aloud to Reform without Nadine Coyle
The other four, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl Cole are already putting together ideas for their comeback.
The group has decided to reform without Coyle as they all feel that they have grown apart from her. A source has been quoted as saying, "It's been a painful decision for Sarah, Nicola, Kimberley and Cheryl but they have decided that the future of Girls Aloud lies without Nadine. They've all been on a roller-coaster ride since 2002 and have just grown apart from Nadine. Relations with her had been strained within the camp for a while. Disputes began cropping up towards the final days of the band before they went on a hiatus. The four remaining girls want to return on their own terms - and avoiding any squabbles is a high priority. That's why they have decided to go on without Nadine."
The band formed with great success in 2002 all meeting on the ITV show Popstars: The Rivals. After seven years of nonstop action they decided to take a break in 2009. Altogether they have released 21 singles, four of which topped the charts. They also released five studio albums.
Since they split they have all pursued different careers, Nicola Roberts has launched a cosmetics range, Cheryl Cole has made a success start as a solo singer and also as X Factor judge, Sarah Harding has opened her own night club and Kimberley Walsh is now working as a TV presenter.
Relationships within the group became strained in 2006 when Nadine moved to America having formed a relationship with Jesse Metcalfe of Desperate Housewives fame. She has been living in America ever since and now runs her own bar near Los Angeles called Nadine’s Irish Mist.
Relationships became harder when she refused to participate in the group’s 2008 TV series, The Passion of Girls Aloud. She has also started working on a solo album, but it is yet to be released.
